Hello, I’m Lea.

I plan and manage research studies to help build human-centered interfaces. This spans from discovery research to requirement engineering. With this, I help my teams create human-centered design solutions, make data-driven business decisions, and measure customer success.

My designs move mobility, help people to better understand and manage their insurance, improve the employee experience of millions, and bring awareness to climate change.

Focus

User Experience

There is no UX without the User. I am a big advocate of data and believe strongly in including all members of a team in the research of their product. From early discovery to testing for evaluation of design concepts — they are the foundation of all product aspects and talking to them brings immense value to the business’ development.

Mixed Methods UXR

I like to combine qualitative and quantitative research methods to provide a comprehensive understanding of user behavior and attitudes. Becoming the owner of UX surveys that previously only enabled quantitative impulses, I generated an actionable analysis of the qualitative comments to help the whole organization understand these KPIs in their realistic scope.

Design Thinking

I had the pleasure of working in a company that lived design thinking throughout its projects. At first, I was skeptical of the fast methods but came to appreciate their focus on team diversity. I learned they are an efficient way to create understanding across teams by including users, or at least comprehensive insights, early on in the design process.

Passions

Illustration & Fine arts

Beginning at the age of three I drew on paper, walls, and floors. With my family supporting this craft I got great encouragement to work on my talent. Illustration is the craft that led me into studying graphic design.

Spacial Design & VR

Having worked on VR applications and museum exhibits I learned to apply my knowledge in Information Architecture and Navigation into 3D spaces. It is always a challenge which is what I love.

Game Design

After half a year of work in a game development studio in Hamburg I gained a view into the game business firsthand. Later in my career, I was lucky to design games myself. Joining game jams from time to time is a passion of mine.
